$341,840 is the estimated lifetime cost of care for an individual living with dementia - making it one of the most expensive diseases in America.
41% of caregivers have a household income of $50,000 or less. Few individuals with Alzheimer’s or other dementias have sufficient long-term care insurance or can afford to pay out of pocket for long-term care services for as long as the services are needed.
35% of people with dementia leave their homes once a week & 10% go out only once a month.
1 in 4 caregivers says it is very difficult to get affordable services in their loved one’s community that would help with their care.
Gloria's Way Memory Care was created to help ease this financial and emotional burden. Through our partnerships with local businesses in the Eastern suburbs of Cleveland and through our fundraising campaigns, Gloria's Way is seeking to provide AFFORDABLE memory care planning and socialization programs. Our vision is to help as many of the 40,000 Northeast Ohioans living with dementia, and their families, to age in place for as long as possible.
In doing this, families caring for someone with Alzheimer's will be able to feel more comfortable living with or knowing that their loved one is able to live on their own in a safe environment with dignity and respect.
